Portable stores!

Colombia is a great place to live and visit, however it has a lot of social problems as any other country in the world. Unemployment is one of them, because that we will found many ways to generete money and survive. This is called by authorities ''informal employment''.

So it's not difficult found on the streets people as this madame with a box full of candies, cigarettes or gums.

This gentlemen is selling babanas on street while he's speaking by his movil. It's very convenient to housekeepers as my mom, cause while she's at home she can wait that vegetables come to her !

I use this service all the time, sometimes I smoke, so when I walk around the city I can found a portable store at any corner.

'El Angel del Acordeon'

I haven't seen a movie long time ago, maybe since juny, when I watched El angel del acordeon (The Accordion's Angel). To be honest I don't like colombian movies, great part are about guerrillas, drugs dealer, murders or stuff like that.

But this movie was very different, it shows the other view of Colombia. This's the synopsis on the official web:

''In the middle of the exotic landscapes of the Colombian Caribbean Coast, where the vallenato music has magic effects in their habitants: (calms down the crying of the babies, turns the direction of the storms, increases the egg production of the hens, cheers up the cotton harvesters) lives “Poncho”, an eleven year old boy, a talented vallenato performer who has two dreams in his life: to be a Vallenato King and to win over the love of his life, Sara Maria.

Dreams that won’t be easy to achieve because of the economical difficulties he faces and that will make him grow up before time and because of his father a male chauvinist who constantly humiliates him. Besides that Poncho has to suffer the constant attacks of Pepe, the other suitor of Sara Maria who wins over the girl by lies and frauds, and that will not let Poncho achieve one of his goals.

Like that in the middle of the magical journey that he will make in search for an accordion, Poncho will meet some people of his land that will teach him the values of friendship, kindness, love and of dreams that will turn him into a magical character known as “The angel of the accordion''.

I love the performance of Camilo Molina (Poncha at movie), who represents on himself that dreams become true with hard work, no matter what. Very recommend movie.
